Jean Reaves Rollins

Jean Reaves Rollins founded the C Three Group, LLC™ in 1998, providing senior management advisory and research services to the energy utility industry. Prior to founding The C Three Group, Ms. Rollins was a founding partner of The Coba Group, a London based strategic management consultancy. During her 12 years at Coba, Ms. Rollins developed Coba's worldwide energy and utility practices that were based in Atlanta, GA. The Coba Group was sold to Renaissance Worldwide in 1997.

Ms. Rollins' areas of specialization are corporate strategy and business development. She has worked at a senior management and board levels at numerous US and international companies including Hewlett-Packard, ScottishPower, MidAmerican Energy, Edison International, Hydro-Québec, Ontario Power, Hydro One, The World Bank, Schroders, Barings, and Lloyds Corporate and Institutional Banking.

Ms. Rollins received her undergraduate degree for the Georgia Institute of Technology and her MBA from Stanford University. She currently  serves on several not-for-profit and for-profit boards of directors.

Mally Jones

Mally Jones began working for The C Three Group, LLC™ in 2010 as an analyst managing data in the Electric Transmission database.  She subsequently began working full time as C Three’s Manager of Research and Subscriptions, where she continues today managing the content of C Three’s Electric Transmission and Power Plant databases.  She earned her Bachelors of Engineering Science degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Human Factors from Arizona State University in 2008. 

Preceding her work for the C Three Group, LLC, Mally worked for Computational Particle Fluid Dynamics (“CPFD”) Software, LLC, an engineering software design company that specializes in the mechanical modeling of fluidized beds.  She gained the attention of the United States Senate Committee on Energy and Resources by demonstrating how modeling fluidized solids can aid in the development of Renewable Energy Generation technologies.  She has also held an internship with Texas Royalty, Corp. Petroleum Engineers of Austin, Texas.  She also spent time teaching English as a second language in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Mally was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is a lover of all things outdoors in the American southwest.  She currently lives in Los Angeles, California, where she enjoys playing tennis in the lovely weather and hiking through idyllic hills with her dog Maude.

Barry Minatra

Barry is an energetic, innovative sales and marketing executive with a quarter century of experience in working with Fortune 1000 firms serving the power generation and power delivery segments of the global utilities industry. His professional life focuses on strategic, market and product development and all of the supporting disciplines including channel and brand management, advertising and promotion and eCommerce strategies.

Barry joined The C Three Group in March 2008, assisting in the development, sales and marketing of the popular U.S. Electric Transmission Projects database, a strategic offering for the development and expansion of the Smart Grid in the U.S. In addition, Barry is heavily involved in the strategic, market and product development consulting practice a C Three, providing insightful qualitative and quantitative analysis supported by his substantial industry experience. He has over a decade of experience in Power Delivery, serving as the Global Product Manager for T&B's Steel Structures' ETS-Engineered Transmission Structures where he was involved in a number of strategic projects with U.S. Utilities, and responsible for expanding international market and business development of transmission projects with Canadian and Mexican utilities. He became involved with Windpower projects as a tower supplier, successfully completing projects at Green Mountain and Storm Lake, among others. He also has project experience in infrastructure expansion with the Telecommunications and Transportation segments. He served as Director of Sales and Marketing for T&B's Utility Products Group, where he managed multiple product lines and brands for the group's components, apparatus and equipment utilized in overhead and underground distribution systems. He has developed a keen understanding of major users of electric power while at GE, where he was responsible for sales and market development efforts of the company's energy efficient products and energy conservation programs for commercial, industrial, institutional and government segments, as well as utilities. He continues to be an avid proponent of renewable power with specific interests in developing wind, solar and hydro projects.

In June 2007, he co-founded GridSource, a human resource management consulting and recruiting firm, focused on addressing short and long term workforce issues within the electric power value chain. He has worked extensively with electric utilities, material and equipment suppliers, service providers, consultants, and media companies throughout the industry, and involved in an advisory role with a number of key industry interest groups.

Barry completed his undergraduate work in marketing, economics and finance, and psychology at MTSU, where he also played football. He has completed graduate work in marketing and finance at the University of Tennessee and the University of Chicago. He and his wife, Renee, reside in Memphis, Tennessee with their two small children, where they are actively involved in a select range of community and charitable efforts for young children.

Linda Harkness

Linda comes from a long line of librarians, her grandmother, her mother, her sister and two aunts have all been librarians. After attending the University of Tennessee, she worked as a research librarian at Oak Ridge. She moved to Atlanta with her husband in 1996 working at the CDC until joining The C Three Group on a part time basis in 2003. Her part time job at C Three quickly turned into more than a full time job, although technology has helped temper this transition. Linda telecommutes most days now, something she considers one of the best professional perks ever. Linda has long been interested in the energy industry and strives to keep high quality research and responsive customer service at The C Three Group.

Valerie Hagan

Valerie Hagan is a research analyst for the C Three Group. Ms. Hagan received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005. While her interests span a broad range of issues within the utility industry, she is most interested wind energy options and optimization of this resource, as well as the development of urban renewable and distributed energy options. These interests loosely stem from her previous research positions in the ecology, health, and psychology fields. She currently calls Silver Spring, Maryland home and enjoys running, baking, and attempting to train her lovebird, Bandit.

Rae Rothermel

Rae is one of the fastest typists in the Southeast, thus she is in charge of editing and entering our long lists of information in our databases. She has worked part-time for C Three since 1998, being responsible for customer service functions, data entry and administrative duties. When time permits, Rae barrel races, trains quarter horses and volunteers frequently at the Troup County equine rescue center.
